Position Details
The Department of Psychology invites applications for a Continuing Instructor II or III position in Psychology to begin July 1, 2024, subject to budgetary approval. Hiring salary will be in the range of $59,606-$80,000 per year, commensurate with qualifications and experience. We are seeking a colleague qualified to teach entry-level classes in psychology, covering both the biological and social aspects of the discipline, as well as introductory classes in research methods and key academic skills. In addition, there is scope to teach one senior class in the candidate’s area of speciality. The successful candidate must have minimally a M.Sc. or M.A. in Psychology, and the capability to engage and inspire undergraduate and graduate students in their academic work.

The Department of Psychology has an enthusiastic group of faculty members with diverse and active research programs, whose focus ranges from various areas of experimental, social and forensic psychology, to social and cultural behaviour in non-human animals, and animal communication. The department has an established graduate program and a thriving undergraduate student culture, encouraged through faculty involvement.

The references will be sent a link where they will be asked to upload a confidential letter of reference to your application. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled, but consideration of complete files will commence on December 1, 2023. The expected start date of the appointment is July 1, 2024.
