Position
The Faculty of Health Sciences has an opening for a full-time (1.0 FTE) probationary continuing Instructor position in the Addictions Counselling Program. The successful candidate will act as a faculty liaison for student internship experiences, facilitate counselling skills training labs and teach in the undergraduate program. The position will commence July 1, 2024.

Qualifications
A completed Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is preferred for this role. Additionally, the applicant should have a professional practice background in Addiction Counseling and active registration with a regulatory body. It’s essential for the applicant to have excellent professional judgment and boundaries, as this role involves working with students and agencies in practicum settings. Practical interpersonal and communication skills are also crucial; teaching experience at the post-secondary level would be an asset.

Undergraduate programs include Aboriginal Health, Addictions Counselling, Nursing, Public Health and Therapeutic Recreation.
