Position Details
The Faculty of Arts and Science requires the services of a qualified Administrative Assistant III in a continuing position, beginning March 18, 2024.

We are seeking an independent, service-oriented individual who will take initiative and contribute positively to the effectiveness and efficiency of the Faculty of Arts and Science Dean’s Office. The Faculty of Arts and Science is the largest faculty at the U of L and this position requires the ability to learn curriculum across a variety of different programs.
The primary responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:
  • Verifying degree requirements for graduating students
  • Monitoring course enrollments and managing waitlists
  • Communicating with students about applications for graduation and academic awards
Occasional front desk administrative support may be required.
Position Qualifications
The successful candidate will have:
  • A two-year Office Administration or comparable diploma and
  • A minimum of three years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven administrative skills (including proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and survey software)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills
  • Prior knowledge of and experience with university curriculum would be an asset for this position
The successful candidate also must have demonstrated ability to:
  • Work in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage interruptions and overlapping deadlines
  • Exercise superior independent judgement
  • Learn multiple university management systems, while maintaining effective working relationships within the University community

Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) $4,691.00 - $5,246.00 monthly
Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) $4,691.00 - $5,799.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 10)
