Position Details | The Teaching Centre and Agility at the University of Lethbridge requires the services of a qualified full-time Administrative Assistant I. Who We Are? The Teaching Centre is committed to promoting and enhancing outstanding and inspirational teaching in a vital and engaging learning environment at the University of Lethbridge. Our centre supports the creativity, originality, and discovery in teaching. A commitment to excellence in teaching will ensure that, in a rapidly changing educational environment, ULethbridge will continue to provide outstanding learning experiences for its students. Agility is a campus-wide innovation and entrepreneurial program designed to help prepare our students for life and careers in the 21st century. The program is 100% grant and donor-funded, which enables Agility to grow in multiple areas that reflect the passions and visions of our donors, while supporting unique learning experiences for our students. Activities supported by Agility help to build an atmosphere of creative discovery at the University of Lethbridge where students can explore and develop new ideas in a risk-free environment where failure is a way to learn. Your Team Reporting directly to the Associate Director of the Teaching Centre & Agility, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to provide leadership, coordination, facilitation and support for the University of Lethbridge Teaching Development, Educational Technology, and Innovation & Entrepreneur Initiatives. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse team of highly qualified staff and faculty who are passionate about enhancing teaching, learning, and the student experience at the University of Lethbridge. Duties and Responsibilities The Administrative Assistant will assist and support the Teaching Centre and Agility in all facets of their operations. They are the first point of contact for faculty, staff, and students and are responsible for file management, content management, communications, scheduling, project assistance, and other duties as required. The successful candidate must also have a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, deal with interruptions and overlapping deadlines, exercise superior independent judgement, and learn multiple university management systems, while maintaining effective working relationships within the University community. |
Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) | $3,958.00 - $4,403.00 monthly |
Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) | $3,958.00 - $4,848.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 8) |
