Position Details | The Information Technology Services department at the University of Lethbridge is seeking applications for the position of Programmer Analyst III. This is a full-time, two year limited- term position located at our Lethbridge campus. Preference will be given to candidates who will work some portion of this role at the Lethbridge campus, but we will also consider hybrid work arrangements for Alberta-based candidates, where visits to the Lethbridge campus would be less regular. Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Applications, the Programmer Analyst III will play a key role in enhancing and supporting essential systems used by students, faculty and staff. This position resides within the Enterprise Applications team within Information Technology Services, and will be primarily responsible for the development, operation and ongoing evolution of various enterprise applications. As the University moves toward streamlining and modernization of its enterprise platforms and capabilities, this role is critical in order to augment the existing teams and provide application and project level development and support. Position Qualifications | Along with strong analytical and planning skills, the successful candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience. This individual will have proven experience developing, supporting, and integrating enterprise business applications, as well as proven web application development skills. Preference will be given to those candidates who have experience with modern software development platforms, Oracle database development, system integrations, version control systems, customer engagement, and technical design. Familiarity with Ellucian Banner, Moodle, PHP, Java, or the Microsoft Power Platform would also be an asset. The successful candidate must be a proven problem solver, possess strong organizational, written and oral communication skills, and must be self-starting and able to work with minimal supervision. The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with faculty and staff is essential. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered for this position. This position requires a satisfactory Criminal Record Check. |
Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) | $5,213.00 - $5,900.50 monthly |
Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) | $5,213.00 - $6,588.00 monthly (AUPE - Grade 12) |
