Position Details
The Information Technology Services department is seeking applications for the position of Records and Information Manager. This is a full-time continuing position located at our Lethbridge campus. While flexible hybrid work options may be possible this position will typically work at least three days per week on the Lethbridge campus.

Reporting to the Associate Vice-President Information Technology, the incumbent will direct and oversee the Records and Information Management Program at the University of Lethbridge including supervising the Records Technician. The Manager will review and update existing information management policies, processes and practices for all types of records on our campuses as required, identify information/records management needs, and design, develop, and communicate solutions. Key initiatives include consulting/liaising with departments to convert paper-based records management practices to modern electronic processes implementing industry best practices for managing and securing data. The incumbent will work closely with staff in Information Technology Services to develop automation, security, privacy, and retention capabilities within the Office 365 platform to support information and records management objectives. This role will engage with academic and administrative units across the campus and will play a key role in supporting the institution in managing risk and increasing efficiency.
Position Qualifications
The successful candidate must have a post-secondary degree in a related field and certification in Records Management/Archives combined with 7 years of experience in records management. A suitable combination of education and related experience will be considered. Solid technical knowledge in understanding and applying records management principles and theory as well as the ability to adapt that knowledge to changing requirements, preferably in a University setting, is important. Electronic Records Management (ERM) Certification and/or familiarity with electronic document and records management are also an asset.

Excellent organization, analytical, communication and interpersonal skills as well as the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with members of the University community and the general public are essential. Some travel between the Lethbridge and Calgary campuses may be required to support the records and information management program. A valid unrestricted Class 5 Driver’s License with no more than 6 demerits and submission of a motor vehicle record (driver abstract) dated within 3 months of the posting close is required. The successful candidate must be capable of meeting the physical requirements of the position (ability to lift up to 40 pounds).

Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) $60,505.52 - $76,116.32 annually
Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE) $60,505.52 - $91,727.11 annually (APO - Grade 3)
