The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science invites applications for an Instructor II position. The appointment could commence as early as July 1, 2024, subject to budgetary approval. We are looking for a candidate with a demonstrated ability to teach introductory courses in Statistics. Teaching duties will include both lectures and labs. The ability to teach upper year courses in Statistics would be an asset, as would the ability to teach first year courses in Mathematics. As many of our introductory Statistics courses include labs with an R component, familiarity with a standard statistical software system, especially in a teaching context, would be an asset. Though most teaching would be in person, experience with online delivery would be viewed favourably. The successful candidate will have at least an M.Sc. in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

Hiring salary will be in the range $60,000-$76,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science has an enthusiastic group of faculty members in the areas of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science. Our department offers degrees in Applied Statistics, Mathematics, Mathematics Education and Computer Science.
